Rules and Regulations for the July Reading Institute 2012
Please read the following information carefully before applying.
1. The cost of this institute excludes travel expenses and food.
2. Only individual applications are accepted. We are not accepting group applications. Please note, also, that we will not accept applications that act as “place holders.” In other words, applicants cannot be substituted.
3. Your entire application should be submitted online. There is no need to fax us anything.
4. Please note the criteria for both First Year and Advanced participation:
    • First Year: Participants who have never attended a Reading Institute with the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project.
    • Advanced: Participants who have attended a previous Reading Institute with the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project.
5. You will be notified by e-mail if your application has been accepted. Your acceptance e-mail will provide a link for payment.
The deadline for payment is 10 days after the date on which you are accepted.
Please note that applicants must submit payment individually. For those paying by purchase order, this means your institution must submit one purchase order for each person attending the institute.
6. We email institute participants frequently with updates and changes. So, please apply with an email address that you check regularly.
7. Applications can take up three to four weeks to review. If you have not heard anything four weeks after submitting your application, please email us at registration@readingandwritingproject.com
8. Should you need to withdraw from the July Reading Institute 2012, you must do so in writing (via email). A processing fee of $75.00 applies for withdrawals. Withdrawals after May 25, 2012 forfeit any refund.
